Allwyn has scheduled the UK debut of Powerball for July 21, 2026. This marks the first time the lottery game will operate outside the United States.
Players will purchase £4 tickets through National Lottery retailers, the official website, and the mobile application. The draw features an uncapped jackpot beginning at £12 million, with potential payouts extending into the billions. UK participants will join US players for the shared mega jackpot, which distributes winnings over a 30-year period.
Prize Structure and Funding Goals
The UK version includes a dedicated tier for matching two main numbers, paying a fixed £8 prize. Matching five main numbers awards a guaranteed £1 million, while remaining tiers provide estimated payouts adjusted by ticket sales and winner distribution. Allwyn CEO Andria Vidler stated that the new product aims to expand player opportunities while funding weekly Good Cause projects across the country. Tennessee Lottery president and former World Lottery Association president Rebecca Paul added that international expansion will increase player participation and accelerate jackpot growth. This release follows the June 10 Lotto format revision, which now provides two draw chances per £2 line and has generated 27 millionaires since implementation. The first UK Powerball draw will occur later this month.
